Colin Croft + Ted Robbins at Neston Marquee Sporting Lunch
Picture

Colin Croft was part of the potent West Indian quartet of fast bowlers from the late 70s and early 80s. With his height (6'5"), he bowled bouncers and was very aggressive.  Croft's figures of 8/29 against Pakistan in 1977 are still the best Test innings figures by a fast bowler from the West Indies!
Ted Robbins is a Comedian, Actor and DJ, who has appears regularly on Television and was in Coronation Street!  We look forward to welcoming them both to Parkgate on Thursday 4th July in the Sporting Lunch Marquee!

Neston HC Players run London marathon
Picture
Congratulations to John Harris, Ollie Mills, George Falck, Pete Cooper and Emma Furneaux who ran the London marathon in aid of Clic Sargent, the Young persons Cancer Charity and in memory of loved ones, Will Falck and Elisha Carter.

Re-surfaced Car Park looking smooth!
Picture
The Re-surfacing of the Car Park has been finished and creates about 10% more parking due to the lines.  A big thank you to Steve Fetenby  who co-ordinated the project and actually got stuck in with repairing some of the potholes down the drive!

Neston Hockey Mens 1st Team are promoted!
Picture
The Mens 1's, 3's and 4's Hockey Teams have all been promoted, with the Mens 4's becoming Champions of Div 5.
It is twenty years since Neston Mens Hockey played at this level, the Ladies  have played at this level for two seasons!   It means they are both one league off National League Hockey. Congratulations to the
Ladies 2's who are also promoted and came equal 1st in the Cheshire 2nd Division, but sadly the goal difference meant they finished 2nd by 4 goals!

Neston's Ash Davis is voted in the Top 5 of the country at the League Cricket Conference.
Picture
Congratulations to Ash Davis on this recognition as a fine fast bowler.  His 66 wickets in the Cheshire ECB Premier League at an average of 13.82, meant Cheshire put him forward for the National Award.

Neston U18 Girls into 1/4 Finals of England Hockey Competition
Picture
Neston U18 Girls lost in the Quarter Finals of the England Hockey Championships to Rugby and East Warwick’s 1. A great effort for the girls who have had a great season!
