NESTON HOCKEY
Neston hockey's section has 8 mens teams and 5 ladies and a full Junior section. We have our own Astro with a Pavilion and fabulous viewing gallery overlooking the pitch.
The Ladies 1st Team are in The North Premier Division for the 2020/21 season having become the North League Division 1 Champions in March 2014, come and join one of the five teams we run. |
The Mens 1st Team are in The North Premier Division, for 2020/21 season. Come and join one of the eight mens teams and one vets teams we run and enjoy the brand new facilities of a well established club.
Our Junior age groups regularly get to National Finals, all our U10's and U12's girls and boys get trained every Sunday. 160 juniors get coached each Sunday from 0930 until 1230. |

Neston Hockey at Parkgate was established in 1963.
From 1977, Neston reached seven consecutive Cheshire Cup finals, winning six which is a record. Most under the Captaincy of ex Great Britain player Geoff Poole.
In 1979 they were the first Northern Club to reach the HA Cup Final (Equivalent of the FA Cup in Football), under Geoff Poole's captaincy, they lost gallantly 3-1 to Slough.
1979 HA Cup Runners-Up.
1983 Neston win The HA Cup.
In 1983 Neston reached the Final of The HA Cup again and achieved revenge on Slough, winning 3-2.
1984 Neston Team who represented England in Europe.
From 1988 until 1994 Neston played National League hockey.
In 2004 we re-started Junior training.
In 2009 we built an Astro on site and have 8 mens and 3 ladies teams in 2014.
20014 we had our most successful junior year with three age groups getting to National Finals.
