Cricket Section Top competitive league cricket has been played on one of the best situated playing arenas in the North West for over 100 years.
During this time, the club has hosted many top flight games, including County teams, Minor Counties, representative matches and even the England Ladies cricket team.
The club has been affiliated to two of the most prestigious leagues in the North West during this time - the Liverpool Competition and, more recently, the Cheshire County Premier League.
Neston CC has produced many players who have gone on to win top honours in the game, the most famous being Ken Cranston. Ken played for and captained Lancashire and England in 1947/8 against the all conquering Australians, who were led by none other than the legendary Don Bradman. Most recently, the club has produced Simon Marshall, who is currently playing for Lancashire CC.
The club runs four senior men's teams on a Saturday as well as junior sides from Under 9 to Under 21. The junior section is particularly strong with a number of qualified coaches. Strong emphasis is put on junior enjoyment and development. Junior nets are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
There is also a strong women's section which plays fixtures on Sundays throughout the season.
Clubmark status was also achieved during 2005 - a fantastic achievement and a tribute to the hours of hard work put in by the cricket section.
